Ledger Temple operates with straightforward commercial transparency. Because corporate consulting, trademark prosecution, and incorporation engagements involve significant upfront professional labor and immediate non-refundable disbursements to statutory registries, this policy delineates refundable versus non-refundable amounts.
01. Distinction of Fees
Every service invoice issued by Ledger Temple comprises two independent components:
- Professional Consulting Fees: Remuneration for time, drafting, legal advisory, search reports, and filing preparation conducted by our Chartered Accountants and secretarial team.
- Statutory & Government Registry Fees: Official charges paid directly via Bharatkosh, MCA21, Non-Judicial e-Stamp systems, IP India, or the GST portal.
02. Non-Refundable Statutory Disbursements
Absolute Statutory Rule: Once statutory fees (e.g., MCA SPICe+ filing fees, Name Reservation RUN fees, Trademark Class filing challans, State Stamp Duties) have been remitted or generated into a government challan, they are 100% non-refundable under all circumstances, as the Government of India does not refund processed statutory challans.
03. Cancellation & Professional Fee Refunds
Refund eligibility for the professional fee component depends on the progress of your docket at the time of written cancellation:
- Cancellation within 24 Hours (Prior to Work Inception): If you cancel within 24 hours of payment and before our secretarial team has commenced search reports, drafting MOA/AOA, or document vetting, you are eligible for a 100% refund of the professional fee minus a 3% payment gateway charge.
- Drafting / Search Stage Initiated: If our professionals have commenced name similarity clearance, trademark search reports, or drafting constitutional documents, a 50% pro-rata deduction applies to cover CA/CS hours incurred.
- Challan Generated or Forms Uploaded: Once statutory documents have been completed, signed via DSC, or submitted to government portals, the professional fee is considered fully earned and is non-refundable.
04. Government Objections & Re-Submissions
In corporate registrations and trademark applications, statutory examiners may issue examination reports, requests for resubmission (SPICe+ resubmission), or examination notices. Statutory objection from a government officer does not constitute service failure or grounds for a refund. Our engagement covers responding to routine resubmissions and clerical clarifications without additional consulting fees.
